The Khabba Plant
Khabba is a plant used by the dwarves of Taluma. It grows in rocky places where many other plants cannot. It is a small shrub with small, round, green leaves and small lavender flowers that only bloom for a few days in the middle of summer, and it has an unpleasant skunky smell. It is considered a weed by most, even unused by wildlife except for the huge oxmung who graze on its woody stems and are attracted to its musky smell.
Though it is distasteful to others, dwarves make use of it. Chips of the root are toasted and used to brew a warm beverage that provides energy. There are two camps among dwarves that love to argue whose is correct: those who drink it straight up, and those who add goat milk, honey, and cinnamon.
It can also be chewed for a more potent, direct application. If you see a dwarf with a stick in their mouth it is likely a sliver of Khabba root. Some dwarves also claim that it aids with digestion, or headaches, though these side effects seem to be personal and anecdotal.
